When you are approaching Penticton from Summerland on highway 97 heading south, look across to the east side of Okanagan Lake and you’ll see Penticton’s name in huge white lettering on a hillside. Munson Mountain is a dominate presence and is one of the most recognized symbols of the Okanagan Valley. That ‘hill’ is Penticton’s own Munson Mountain.

Access the Munson Mtn. view point trail by making your way across town to Middle Bench Rd. then on to Munson Mountain Rd. The paved parking lot is easily found, as is the groomed gravel trail to the top of this very old volcanic core.
